STAR WARS Battlefront II Is Alive in 2026 - Here's What's New

A new Battlefront Plus update is now available on KYBER, bringing new gameplay tools, expanded vehicle support, and a wide range of balance and quality-of-life improvements.

Join any Official 24/7 Conquest or Galactic Assault server to get the new update.

This update focuses on strengthening core gameplay while introducing new ways to interact with the battlefield. From new support options for troopers to expanded vehicle presence across maps, the experience is broader, more dynamic, and more consistent moment to moment.

Alongside these additions, we’ve continued refining heroes, reinforcements, and core systems, while addressing long-standing issues and improving overall stability.

New Content

• Fusion Cutter - New Officer Equipment
  A new support tool that allows Officers to repair vehicles, turrets, and objectives. Designed to reinforce teamplay, the Fusion Cutter gives squads a reliable way to sustain frontline assets and hold key positions under pressure.
• C-PH Patrol Speeder
  A fast, agile speeder designed for urban environments and used by Imperial security forces. Now available on Tatooine in Galactic Assault and Supremacy, it brings a lighter, more responsive alternative to traditional vehicles, suited for tighter engagements and rapid repositioning.
• Riot Control Trooper - Riot Shield
  The Riot Control Trooper now replaces its off-hand weapon with a dedicated Riot Shield. Built from layered, high-impact Betaplast and Transparisteel, the shield offers strong protection against blaster fire while remaining vulnerable to sustained melee pressure. This introduces a new frontline role focused on area control and pushing contested spaces.
• Expanded Vehicle Support Across Maps
  Vehicles like the TIE Striker and U-Wing have been added to additional maps and modes, alongside broader tuning to improve their effectiveness and presence in combat.
• Din Djarin - New Caped Beskar Appearance
  A full-caped Beskar look replaces the default appearance, just in time for The Mandalorian & Grogu!
• Trooper and Weapon Rebalance
  Extensive attachment updates, stat tuning, and consistency improvements across all classes.
• Reinforcement and Hero Updates
  Adjustments to abilities, balance, and progression to improve clarity, performance, and gameplay flow.
• Stability and Bug Fixes
  Fixes for crashes, UI issues, spawning problems, and multiple gameplay inconsistencies.

Coming Later This Summer

Let's talk about what's coming to STAR WARS Battlefront 2 this summer.

KYBER Launcher

We're excited to announce that the Party System is coming to KYBER in May.
As one of the most highly-requested new features, we've been working hard to make sure the Party System is reliable, robust, and satisfying to use.

Also coming to KYBER in May is the Incremental Downloads system. This means when a large mod like Battlefront Plus gets an update, you only need to download the files that changed. This means smaller and more frequent updates.

Battlefront Plus

Much of the focus for well over a year has been on refining what we’ve already had with a plethora of character reworks, quality of life changes, and adjustments for game balance. That’s all well and good, it’s put Battlefront Plus in the best state it’s ever been in, but we need more. So, as we reach the final stages of v10, we’ve turned our attention towards future releases and how best to approach them.

Going forward, our goals for new Battlefront Plus releases are for them to be smaller and to have the characters focused around a specific theme. Today, we’d like to showcase just a few of the things we’ve been putting together.

Incoming fighters! The Geonosian Nantex-class starfighter is one of two new interceptors arriving at the battlefront and will tip the scales against the AT-TE onslaught. Expanding upon the vehicle selection has only been a recent endeavor and it’s one that invites a ton of fresh opportunities that we would like to tackle.

As the Republic’s most decorated guards, the Senate Commando finds itself a worthy place as the faction’s next Enforcer.

When they were created for The Clone Wars, they were inspired by Roman Praetorian Guards, so we decided to take a look at ancient Roman phrases as our own source of inspiration for abilities.

Senate Commandos are straightforward and work well on their own, but meet their max potential when serving with their allies, where they can share multiple buffs.

B2-HA will be a fearsome new Enforcer for the Separatists. Much of their kit draws from Republic Commando, in which they proved to be sturdy while shelling Delta Squad with their arm cannon.

Kicking off a series of bounty hunters joining the fray is IG-88. For this ruthless assassin droid, we wanted him to feel a little bit like playing as a Terminator.

Between his dual-fire capabilities and various gadgets to eliminate his targets, Holowan’s rogue killing machine proves efficient, durable, and relentless.

As this little teaser of ours comes to an end, the last things we’d like to show off are a handful of the many additional skins we have coming with this next major update.
